"And it is I, Raksha [The Demon], who answers. The man's cub is mine, Lungri-- mine to me! He shall not be killed. He shall live to run with the Pack and to hunt with the Pack; and in the end, look you, hunter of little naked cubs-- frog-eater-- fish-killer-- he shall hunt thee! Now get hence, or by the Sambhur that I killed (I eat no starved cattle), back thou goest to thy mother, burned beast of the jungle, lamer than ever thou camest into the world! Go!"

--Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book

(Alternate Title: "Mother Wolf's Colossal Smackdown".)

oh you draw the big kitties so well!
Shere Khan has been on my mind lately, glad you drew him : D
I love their expressions and the cramped composition of the page. =D

Beautifully illustrated! the colors are lovely, and so are the expression! Great job!
Ohhh SNAP! x) I like their yellow eyes.
Oh man, that is one of my favorite scenes. Nicely done.

Love the rendering of Khan and the wolves c:
Did you have to read the Jungle book for something? (it sounds like it sucks to read >w<; )

Are you a genius?

Did I have to? No! I read it gladly when I was a kid, and am re-reading some Kipling for fun now. The stories are absolutely fantastic!
D8 I'll have to try it out. I've never read the original, just... seen the Disney version >w< Is it a lot different in the book? =o

My, my, on a Kipling kick, lately? Lovely illustration to complement the snippet from the story. I love how it's stylized and semi-real. The colors go well together with one another, I'm fond of how you did the fur on the wolves.
Hmm, I think I like that upper lip on the wolf to the right, though I'll also go ahead and say the paw looks a little oddly positioned. Perhaps the picture could do without it?
But oh well, who cares about a little something that caught my eye? This is fantastic.
Yeah, it's a -lot- different! It's much, much better-- darker, more complicated. Mowgli is more of a jerk sometimes. Kaa is infinitely cooler, etc. Check it out! :)
